big cat....

Tiger is the biggest animal in cat family. Malaysia is the home for tigers... Tigers live in rainforest and the top of the almost foodchains in Malaysian rainforest...

Tiger is the symbol of bravery and strength, used by Malays for centuries... However, the number of tigers in Malaysia is decreases rapidly!!...

Nowadays, tiger is classify as the critical endangered species, which means, tiger is the most prior to keep in safe... Many expertise in animal conservation believe that tiger will be extinct before 2022!!!

Why we must conserve tiger, eventhough tiger can eat our flesh (haha)?? Tiger is the symbol of most Malay and SOuth-East Asia about bravery, strenght.... This year is also the year of tiger in China Calendar.... Tiger also the symbol of Malaysia... You can find tiger in Malaysia Nation's symbol... Tiger also is the top consumer in our balance ecosystem... So, Tiger must be preserve....

Why tiger becomes extincting??

Of course the human activities... The deforestation occurs rapidly and widely in our nation (for development) caused the tigers lost their natural habitats...

Other than that, the hunters hunt tiger for it's skin and some sorcerer believed tiger can increase the male's sex ability (liar!!)...

Let's protect tiger... Let's conserve and preserve this type of big cat!!

Hawksbill Turtle - The Critical Endangered Sea Turtle

Hawksbill turtle is the famous turtle at the Melaka Straits because this is the only sea turtle found at Melaka Straits (the busiest straits in the world)... Pulau Upeh (Melaka) is the largest nesting population for Hawksbill Turtle in Malaysia and also in the world... Second goes to Sabah Turtles Island....

Hawksbill unique with it's beak

Melaka also set up the rehabilitation centre at Tanjung Bidara to help the survival of this species from extinct....

Because of human fishing practices, Hawksbill populations are threatened with extinction. The World Conservation Union classifies the Hawksbill as critically endangered. Several countries, such as China and Japan, hunt them for their flesh, which they consider a delicacy. Hawksbill shells are the primary source of tortoise shell material, used for decorative purposes. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species outlaws the capture and trade of hawksbill turtles and products derived from them.

Nowadays, the Melaka beach is in reclamation state and the development at Upeh Island is large... The chalets and hotels developing in that island can disturb the natural habitat of this kind of animal...

So, this turtles will lost their habitats across Melaka Straits and we cannot see this unique creature anymore....
The depletion of coral reefs also can decrease the population of Hawksbill Turtle because this is the main habitats of this kind of turtle... So, the turtles lost their home....

So, please help us to save this kind of animals from extinct.... Thank you...
